Cats Protection Lewes Seaford & District branch wants to help as many local cats as possible find loving homes. 

Our branch has been in operation since the 1980s. We cover the area from Halland to Saltdean. We presently operate 3 shelters located at:

•Seaford x 2
•Ringmer 

Branch Costs
On average, cats remain in our care for approximately 4 to 6 weeks before they are re-homed. During a year we re-home just under 200 cats and kittens. During the time they are with us they require food, heat pads, cat litter, veterinary care. Our total outgoings for rescue, re-homing and neutering is aproximately £17,000 per year but this is not an exhaustive list of expenses. We have many fundraising activities but these do not keep pace with our expenditure.

These shelters are run by a commited group of hard working volunteers many of whom combine this role with their full time employment. This is a very fulfilling role giving great job satisfaction particulary when you see a happy outcome to a sad, hopeless case.
